Restoration of Kallville Homestead

After 12 Years of waiting and 30 years since our Forced Removal, the time to restore our dignity and inheritance, has finally arrived.According to Government Gazette Notice No 20368 of 13 August 1999 for Erf 541 Redhill Simonstown,
we are legally entitled to restoration of the abovementioned property for development.
This will be the only living legacy of Redhill Farming Village and we propose to develop the existing structure into a Village Heritage Site that will be a living museum of everyday life as it was when we lived there in the 1970`s. We are working to the following programme:
Surveying of existing site
Submission of Plans to South Peninsula Municipality
Submit proposal to Simonstown Heritage Foundation
Submit comments & Proposal to Western Cape Heritage Foundation
Application of additional funds to kickstart restoration project
Operation `Kallville`!
We have the skills,insight ,resources and determination to see this through to completion simply because we are Mountain people who feel that the time has come!
